Description

Hazel Cottage is a 17th-century cottage located in Chute Forest. It features a colourwashed flint exterior with brick dressings and a thatched roof. The building has timber-framed gables above the wall plate level and is a single storey with an attic, comprising two bays. The layout follows a lobby entry plan with a one-bay rear wing. The front includes a half-glazed door and a 16-paned sash window on the right, with a casement window on the left. The gable has a two-light window in the attic. There is an outshut at the right end, at the rear, and a lean-to attached to the left gable. The interior has not been seen.
