Description
Hawthorne Cottage is a 17th-century cottage located on Thursford Road in Little Snoring. It is constructed from flint with brick dressings and features a red pantiled roof. The cottage is a single storey and has one sash window with glazing bars and one 20th-century casement window. The entrance includes a 20th-century door and double doors. Notable architectural details include brick moulded kneelers, brick-dressed gables, and quoins. The center and west side have brick dressings for openings that have been replaced. The east gable has blocked ground floor and attic windows, while the rear has one blocked window. A brick dog-tooth cornice is present, and the roof has been replaced. There is a stack located at the west end. Inside, the cottage features three cross beams and one spine beam that is chamfered and stopped.
