Description

Church Farmhouse is a late 17th-century farmhouse, with rebuilding noted on a gable end datestone from 1892. It is constructed of random rubble stone and features a stone slate roof with coped verges. The building has an L-plan layout, with the gable end facing the road.

The farmhouse is two stories high and has four windows. The front includes a chamfered doorway with a planked door and a 2-light cyma-mullioned casement to the right. There is a 20th-century door to the cross wing gable on the left, and a continuous lintel string course runs along the building. On the first floor, there are two 2-light and one 3-light cyma-mullioned casements to the right, while the cross wing has a 2-light chamfered mullioned casement above the doorway.

The right side of the building, which faces the road, features a single cyma-moulded casement on the first floor with a datestone above it. The rear includes a 2-light cyma-mullioned casement with a hoodmould on the ground floor and a 3-light mullioned casement with a dripstone on the first floor, along with a blocked doorway. The rear wing to the right has 2-light casements and a 12-pane sash window on the first floor, with an outshut attached to the left return of the wing. The interior has not been inspected.
