Description
Orchard Farmhouse is a late 17th-century farmhouse that has been converted into a detached house. It is constructed from random rubble stone and features a stone slate roof with coped verges and gable end stone stacks, the right stack having moulded capping. The building is L-shaped, with its gable end facing the road. It has a single storey and an attic, with a total of three windows. The entrance is a six-panelled door located to the right of centre, accompanied by a 3-light ovolo-mullioned casement to the right, a 2-light ovolo-mullioned casement, a single casement, and a buttress to the left. There are three full attic gables, each with 2-light ovolo-mullioned casements. To the left, there is a former outbuilding that now serves as a double garage. The left side of the building facing the road has 20th-century mullioned casements and a Bridgwater tiled roof. The rear of the farmhouse also features 20th-century mullioned casements. The interior was not accessible during the survey conducted in June 1987.
