Description
This is a late 17th-century farmhouse. It is built of rubble stone with a stone slate roof, featuring coped verges and gable end stacks. The farmhouse is two storeys high and has five windows across the front. The central entrance has a 6-panelled door within a chamfered stone surround with a transom light above; it is flanked by two 2-light, ovolo-mullioned casement windows. A continuous stone string course runs along the front, sitting above the doorway and window sills. The first floor has five matching 2-light, ovolo-mullioned casement windows, also aligned with the string course. On the right return, there is a blocked 2-light mullioned window with a hoodmould, alongside a single attic casement.
A later, 18th-century gabled wing is attached to the left, flush with the front facade of the main house. This wing features a 2-light, ovolo-mullioned casement window on both the ground and first floors, and has a Welsh slate roof with coped verge. The rear of the house features three gabled wings, incorporating 20th-century mullioned casements, along with a lean-to extension on the left. The interior has not been inspected.
The front of the house is bordered by cast-iron spearhead railings set upon stone dwarf walls. A single cast-iron gate, with dog bars, is set within iron piers topped with anthemion finials.
