Description

Brookside is a detached house dating from the 18th century. The building features rubble stone and a Bridgwater tiled roof on the earlier 18th century range to the right, while the later 18th century range to the left is constructed of ashlar with a mansard double Roman tiled roof, complete with coped verges and stone stacks.

The house is two stories high with three windows. The lower range on the right has a planked door set in a cyma-moulded surround, topped with a flat stone hood supported by brackets. To the right of the door is a 2-light casement window, and to the left is a 3-light cyma-mullioned casement. On the first floor, there is a 2-light cyma-mullioned casement.

The later 18th century range on the left features a 4-pane sash window in a moulded architrave on both the ground and first floors, as well as a half-glazed door in a moulded architrave, also with a flat stone hood on brackets. The right return of the building has 20th-century casements, while the left return includes a 2-light cyma-mullioned attic casement. At the rear, the higher range has 4-pane sashes in moulded architraves, and the lower range has 2-light casements.

Inside, the property has chamfered beams.
