Description
No. 3 Horse Road is a detached cottage dating from the late 17th century. It features a rendered exterior and a Bridgwater tiled roof with brick stacks. The building is two stories tall and has five windows. The three left-hand bays are original 17th-century work, with a central planked door set in a gabled porch. To the left of the door is a 20th-century two-light casement window, and to the right is a three-light recessed hollow-chamfered mullioned casement window with a dripstone above. On the first floor, there is a central two-light mullioned casement flanked by two-light mullioned casements. To the right, there is a 20th-century two-storey addition that includes casement windows and a 20th-century door. The rear of the cottage has 20th-century casement windows. The interior was not accessible during the survey conducted in May 1987.
