Description
The Pound Farmhouse is a 17th-century farmhouse that was altered in the mid-19th century. It is built of painted rubble stone with a Bridgwater tiled roof and brick stacks. The farmhouse is two storeys high and has a four-window front. A four-panelled door is located to the left of the entry, with a gabled canopy above. To the right of the door are two 20-pane sash windows, while two 16-pane sash windows are located to the left. The first floor has four 16-pane sash windows. A rear wing to the left includes casement windows and a 20th-century door, along with a cyma-mullioned three-light casement window. At the rear of the main range, there is a 17th-century two-light ovolo-mullioned casement window with a hoodmould on the ground floor, alongside casements and sashes on the first floor. The interior was not accessible at the time of survey in May 1987.
