Description

This milestone, located approximately 50 meters east of Woodfield Park Stud, dates from the late 18th century. It is made of limestone and features a pitched top with plain lettering on the front that reads: "SARUM / XI / HINDON / V." The road from Salisbury to Willoughby Hedge in East Knoyle was turnpiked between 1760 and 1762.
