Description
Goodfellow Cottages is a pair of semi-detached cottages dating from the late 17th century. They are constructed of rubble stone with a thatched roof and have brick and stone stacks. The cottages are one storey with an attic and feature a symmetrical design with three windows. Each cottage has planked doors in beaded cases on either side, flanked by a 2-light recessed chamfered mullioned window and a single recessed chamfered light, with a 3-light mullioned window in the center. The attic includes three dormers with 2-light casements. The right and left sides of the cottages are windowless. The rear has similar mullioned windows and 2-light casements in the attic. Inside, there are chamfered beams with ogee stops, open fireplaces with chamfered lintels that have stepped stops on limestone chamfered jambs. The cottages were undergoing renovation at the time of the survey in March 1985.
