Description
Bathurst Cottage is a detached cottage dating from the mid-19th century. It is constructed of pebbledashed Flemish bond brick and features a fishscale tiled roof with ridge tiles and gable-end brick stacks. The cottage is two storeys high and has three windows. The central entrance consists of a six-panelled door set within a lean-to porch. On either side of the door are pointed two-light margin-pane casements with fanlights and keystones. The first floor has three pointed two-light margin-pane casements, also with fanlights and keystones.
There are two-storey 20th-century extensions attached to either side, which include casement windows and pantiled roofs. At the rear, there is a half-glazed 20th-century door with a flat wooden hood, a 20th-century bay window to the right, and small four-pane sash windows to the left. The first floor features two two-light casements and one one-light casement. Inside, the cottage has four-panelled doors and a staircase with stick balusters.
