Description

Milestone located approximately 300 meters to the north-west of The Lodge, dating from the late 18th century. It is made of limestone and features a pitched top with plain lettering on the front that reads: SARUM / 10 / HINDON / VI. The road from Salisbury to Willoughby Hedge in East Knoyle was turnpiked between 1760 and 1762, with this section being from the early 19th century.
