Description
117 and 119 Dolphin Street are two houses dating from the 16th century, with alterations from the 18th century. Originally constructed as a single house, they are two storeys tall, featuring a colourwashed brick and stucco ground floor. The first floor has an oversailing timber frame that is stuccoed, and the roof is covered with old tiles at the gable end.
On the first floor, there are four windows with flush architrave framed sashes that retain their glazing bars. The ground floor includes a small flush door on the left, a four-pane flush architrave framed sash window, and a canted bay window with glazing bar lights set on a stucco base. To the right, there is a door with six fielded panels, topped by a two-pane rectangular fanlight and surrounded by an architrave.
Nos 109 to 119 (odd) form a group with No 53 St Anne's Street.
