Description
No. 8 Market Place is a house dating from the late 18th century, constructed of coursed squared rubble with ashlar dressings and featuring a 20th-century concrete tiled mansard roof. The building has coped gables and end wall stacks. It is two storeys high with an attic and includes a central two-light dormer that has been renewed. The front has a two-window range, with paired flush mullioned windows on the first floor and a string course. On the ground floor, there is a paired window to the right and a single light to the left, which is next to a door that has a stone hood supported by brackets. The windows are small sashes from the 19th century. Additionally, there is a two-storey rear wing and a small single-storey extension on the east side.
