Description

No. 2 Market Place is a house from the mid-18th century, built of rubble stone and rendered on the front. It features a triple Roman tiled roof with coped gables and end wall stacks. The building is two stories high and has a three-window range. On the first floor, there are three sash windows set in raised moulded stone surrounds. The ground floor has a central moulded door case with a stone hood supported by brackets, leading to a six-panel door. To the left is a three-sided timber bay with a flat roof, and to the right is a three-light stone mullioned window with a hoodmould. The ground floor windows are 19th-century sashes. This building was previously known as the White Hart Inn.
