Description
Elmsleigh is a house from the early 19th century, built of ashlar stone with a low-pitched slate hipped roof and two stacks at the rear. It stands three storeys tall and features a three-window range, with a sill course and band on the first floor. The windows include 12-pane sashes on the first and second floors, and 16-pane sashes on the ground floor. A central projecting ashlar porch, which has a band and sill course that wraps around, serves as the entrance. This porch is adorned with a Roman Doric pedimented doorcase and a six-panel door, flanked by margin-light glazing bar sashes. The east end wall has one window range, featuring a 16-pane window on the ground floor and 12-pane windows above. At the rear, there is a rubble stone range, likely from the 18th century, which includes an east end stack and a 19th-century lean-to with a slate roof and a glazed porch.
