Description

Parsonage Farmhouse is a farmhouse dating from the late 17th century. It is constructed of rubble stone and features a stone tiled roof with coped gables and a saddlestone at the east end. The building has an L-plan layout and is two storeys high.

On the front range, the first floor includes a 2-light recessed ovolo-moulded mullion window with leaded lights and sash, two 2-light flush cyma-moulded mullion windows with iron opening lights, followed by a longer 2-light and a 3-light flush cyma-moulded mullion window with leaded fixed lights. All ground floor openings have hoodmoulds. There is a 2-light recessed ovolo-mullion window to the left and two long 4-light flush cyma-moulded windows flanking a door set in a moulded Tudor-arched doorcase.

The rear wing features a 2-light ovolo-moulded window with a hoodmould on the east side, along with two similar 3-light windows with hoodmoulds on the gable end. A 19th-century glazed conservatory is located on the west side, which includes 3-light arched-head timber windows. The rear of the main range has a hipped dormer, a 20th-century window on the first floor, a long 2-light ovolo-moulded stair light, and a 2-light ovolo-moulded window. The ground floor has a 20th-century door and a 2-light plain chamfer flush mullion window.

Inside, the farmhouse features heavy chamfered beams and a stone fireplace in one front room and in the rear wing.
