Description
The Cottage is a detached cottage, dating from the early 18th century, with a later extension added in 1949. It is constructed of Flemish bond brick, topped with a half-hipped thatched roof and features brick stacks. The gable end faces the road. The two-storey front has a five-window arrangement on the right return. A 20th-century door has been inserted, alongside three two-light and two three-light casement windows. A blocked door has been replaced with a single casement. The right bay is a 1949 addition built in a matching style. The first floor has a single three-light casement window and three eyebrow dormers with two-light casement windows. The right return has 20th-century French windows. A rear extension was also added in the 20th century. Inside, the cottage features chamfered beams with step and runout stops. There is an open fireplace with a chamfered lintel sitting on brick jambs.
