Description
Rose Cottage is a detached cottage dating from the late 17th century, with a 19th-century addition. It is built of Flemish bond brick and features a thatched roof with a brick stack. The gable end faces the road, and the entrance is positioned at right angles to the road. The cottage is two stories high and has two windows. A 20th-century door is located in a porch to the left, while the right side has a mix of window styles, including a 3-light window, a 2-light window, and 20th-century casements. On the first floor, there is a 19th-century bay to the left with one 2-light casement, and to the right, two eyebrow dormers each contain 2-light casements. The right return features one 20th-century casement, and the rear has a 20th-century lean-to extension on the ground floor. The left return has one 2-light casement. The interior is said to have chamfered beams with ogee stops.
