Description

Meadowside is a detached house dating from the late 18th century, with 19th-century alterations and an early 20th-century front addition. The building is constructed of header bond brick and features a tiled roof with gable-end brick stacks. It is two stories tall and has a three-window front.

To the right, there is an early 20th-century single-storey entrance hall that includes a door with a hood and a 4-light leaded casement window, topped with a flat roof and a moulded stone cornice. To the left, a 19th-century two-storey extension has 12-pane tripartite sash windows along with some 20th-century windows and a hipped tiled roof. The left side of the house has two 12-pane sashes on the first floor and a single casement window in the attic. The right side features a 5-light early 20th-century leaded casement window.

At the rear, there is a late 18th-century canted central porch adorned with reeded pilasters and a dentilled cornice, which has half-glazed doors. On either side of the porch are French windows set in square bays. The first floor has a three-brick plat band and three tripartite plate-glass sash windows, each with keystones and flat arches. The eaves level is marked by a cornice, and there is a plain brick parapet with a central pediment that includes a lunette and a ball finial. The roof has coped verges and flat-headed dormers with 2-light casements. Attached to the rear left is a late 19th-century conservatory.

Inside, the house features late 18th-century newel stairs with turned balusters and a fireplace on the first floor that has a fluted frieze.
