Description

This is a mid-19th century house, now divided into two dwellings. It is located on Park Road, Torquay, and is also known as number 365 Teignmouth Road. The house has rendered walls and a hipped slate roof. The plan is a double-depth central entry plan, with a projecting north wing (number 365 Teignmouth Road) and a former carriage entry on the right side of the front facade. The front elevation has three windows, featuring 6/6-pane sash windows and a gabled porch roof supported by flanking columns. Similar sash windows are present on the other elevations. A mid-20th century infill section sits between the house and the former carriage entry, characterized by panelled pilasters, a dentilled cornice, and a parapet with urn finials atop terminal piers. The interior of the house was not inspected. Group value is demonstrated by its context within the surrounding area.
