Description
This is a row of five houses located on Meadfoot Lane in Torquay, dating from the early to mid-19th century. The houses have rendered (plastered) walls and slate roofs, with rendered stacks at each end. They follow a double-depth plan. Each house is arranged symmetrically with three windows on each floor. The front doors are 20th century replacements. The windows are mostly 6/6-pane sashes, but there is one horned 2/2-pane window and a mid-20th century window on the first floor of number 29. Number 25 has three late 20th century windows inserted into the original window openings, and number 23 features late 19th century bow windows with glazing bars and an opening pane on the first floor. The interiors of the houses have not been inspected.
