Description

A pair of houses, numbers 3 and 4 Warren Hill, Torquay, were built in the 1830s as part of a terrace of eight houses, and later altered. The houses are stuccoed with slate roofs and rendered stacks with platbands. Originally designed as a pair of double-depth houses, each one room wide with front doors centrally placed, they have since been converted into flats. Numbers 3 and 4 each have a two-window front. A modern front door, with a deep overlight and small-pane glazed outer doors, is situated in the centre, flanked by shallow bow windows with 16-pane sashes. First-floor windows are 12-pane sashes. Number 3 has an enlarged attic dormer, while number 4 has been raised to three storeys with the addition of an upper floor featuring metal-frame windows. The interior remains uninspected, but may retain original features.
