Description
This is a shop, dating from the 1840s and built alongside numbers 20-25. The shop front was probably added in the later 19th century. The building is stuccoed with a slate roof and has stacks with rendered shafts and platbands. It follows a double-depth plan, with a doorway leading to living accommodation on the left.
The exterior is two storeys wide with a two-window front. It has deep eaves and a fascia across the ground floor which incorporates a cornice. The ground floor shopfront features two fixed 16-pane windows, with a replaced shop door and overlight. The first floor has two 12-pane sash windows within timber frames intended for sunblinds. The interior was not inspected.
The building is part of a terrace with a curved, concave facade and is included on the list for its contribution to the group value of the terrace.
