Description
The Former Falcon Public House is a public house built in the late 1850s or early 1860s. It features a plastered exterior and a steeply-pitched slate roof, with a left-end stack that has a brick shaft and old pots, as well as a cast-iron downpipe.
The building has a double-depth plan, consisting of one room wide with an entrance leading into a passage on the right. It is two storeys high and has an asymmetrical front with two windows. To the right, there is a stout Doric porch with an entablature and a six-panel front door. On the left side, there is a large segmental-headed window for the bar, which has a moulded architrave and is glazed with a two-pane sash. The first floor features two two-pane hornless sashes. Notably, a statue of a falcon on a plinth projects through the roof at the front.
The interior has not been inspected but may contain features of interest.
