Description
No. 50, including the gate piers, is a terraced house built around 1840. It has a plastered exterior and a slate roof with a rendered chimney stack. The house has a double-depth plan with the entrance located on the right side.
The building is two storeys high with an attic and features an asymmetrical two-bay front. It has deep eaves supported by brackets and a moulded eaves cornice. The fine doorway consists of a six-panel front door with glazed panels on either side, which are flanked by reeded pilasters. The panels have geometric intersecting glazing bars, and there is a segmental-headed fanlight above the door and panels, featuring radial and elliptical glazing bars. To the left of the entrance, there is a French window with margin panes and an overlight.
A verandah spans the ground floor, supported by geometric trellis uprights and fascia, topped with a tent roof covered in roof felt that mimics fish-scale slates. On the first floor, there are two 12-pane sash windows from the 19th century, and the attic has two flat-roofed dormers from the 20th century. The interior has not been inspected but may contain interesting features.
