Description
No. 19 Castle Road is a terraced house built around the 1870s. The exterior is finished in stucco and features a slate roof with sprocketed eaves. The house has a double-depth, single-fronted plan and is two stories tall, with an attic and a basement. The front facade is asymmetrical and has two windows, with a platband running across. The front door, located to the right, has six vertical panels and a plain fanlight, framed by a pilastered doorcase with a moulded architrave and keyblock. To the left, there is a tripartite window with a proud architrave and a floating cornice supported by consoles, which is glazed with small-pane casements. On the first floor, there are two windows with moulded architraves, each fitted with 2 over 2-pane sash windows. The attic features two segmental-headed dormers, each with segmental-headed 2-pane sash windows. The interior has not been inspected but may contain interesting features.
