Description

This is a terraced house dating to the 1870s, situated on Castle Road in Torquay. It is a double-depth, single-fronted property. The exterior is plastered with a slate roof featuring sprocketed eaves and stacks with rendered shafts topped with cornices. The asymmetrical two-window front has a platband. A front door is located on the right-hand side, consisting of six vertical panels and a plain architrave with a fanlight above. To the left of the door is a tripartite window with a prominent architrave, featuring four-pane sashes with horizontal glazing bars. Two similar first-floor windows, also with prominent architraves and four-pane sashes with horizontal glazing bars, are above. There are two large segmental-headed attic dormers each containing a segmental-headed window with two panes. The interior has not been inspected but may retain interesting original features.
