Description
No. 5 Bath Street is a terraced house built around the 1830s, with some later alterations. The exterior features stucco over brick and a slate roof, along with a wrought-iron verandah. The house has three storeys and two first-floor windows. The ground floor displays horizontal rustication, with an off-centre right entrance that has a 20th-century double door. To the left, the original entrance is a round-arched opening, now fitted with a 20th-century window that includes glazing bars. The first floor has tall 6/6 sash windows, while the second floor features 3/3 sash windows with sills, all set in plain reveals. The building has a low parapet with copings and a right party-wall stack with a cornice. Although the interior was not inspected, the first floor includes a continuous verandah adorned with an elongated scroll motif, lattice and circle bands in the balustrade, and double-scroll uprights featuring lyre and heart motifs.
