Description
Wellington House and St Albans, along with the attached area railings to St Albans, are two terraced houses built around 1820 to 1840, with later alterations and restorations. The buildings feature ashlar stone over brick, with end brick stacks and iron railings.
The exterior consists of two storeys on the right and three storeys on the left, with a total of five first-floor windows arranged in a 2:3 pattern. The house on the right projects slightly forward. The windows are 6/6 sashes where original, set in plain reveals with sills. There are entrances on both the right and left, with flights of three and eight steps leading to six- and five-panel doors. The upper panels of the doors are raised and fielded, while the lower panel has a fluted surround. The left door features a decorative fanlight with radial glazing, while the right door has sidelights and an overlight with Gothic glazing bars.
The interior has not been inspected. The area railings and the sides of the steps are adorned with fleurs-de-lys finials and anthemion finials on the stanchions.
