St Margaret's, 1 Hill Street, Broughty Ferry, Dundee

St Margaret's is a mid-19th century, two-storey, three-bay terraced house located at 1 Hill Street in Broughty Ferry, Dundee. The building features a rendered exterior that is partially lined, topped with a slate roof. It has plate glass sash and case windows, a band course at the first floor, and an eaves course, along with cast-iron and uPVC rainwater goods and rendered ridge stacks.

On the south elevation, there is an advanced single-storey flat-roofed entrance porch on the left, which includes a door with a transom light and windows on the left and right returns. The porch is topped with an oversailing wallhead course that has moulded rhones. Above, on the first floor, there is a bipartite window, while the ground floor features single windows with leaded glazing on the right and a full-height canted window at the far right.

Inside, the house has a decorative 19th-century chimneypiece on the first floor and a coomb ceiling with foliate moulding in the first-floor drawing room.

The property is enclosed by a low coped wall on the south side, which includes two square-section gatepiers with moulded caps.
