Description

This building comprises two shops at numbers 4, 5, and 5A High Street, Falmouth, dating to the early 19th century. The exterior is incised stucco on timber studwork, with an asbestos slate roof. The building follows a double-depth plan. It is two storeys high, with a three-window front. It retains original 12-pane hornless sash windows. The ground floor features a full-width moulded entablature with a fascia above two late 19th-century shop fronts. These shop fronts have 2-light designs, with inner return lights to three recessed doorways, each with overlights and panelled doors. The interior of the shop has a simple design, though it has not been fully inspected.
