Description

Trinity Mews is a mid-19th century stable block, later converted into flats, situated in Torquay. The building is constructed of rendered walls with a slate roof, and features rendered ridge and end stacks. It follows a courtyard plan, with a 7-window front arranged in a 2:3:2 fenestration pattern. The central three bays are gabled and slightly project, containing a segmental-arched carriage entry with imposts that contribute to a continuous string course. Most windows are 6/6-pane sashes, although some have been replaced in the late 20th century; a late 19th century tripartite sash window is located on the first floor to the right. The interior underwent remodelling in the mid-20th century. Trinity Mews represents a rare survival of 19th-century stabling in Torbay.
