Description
Highfield Lodge is a small villa, built around 1850, that has been divided into flats. The building is plastered and features a hipped slate roof with a stack that has a rendered shaft, although one shaft has been dismantled. The villa has a double-depth rectangular plan with the entrance located on the right side.
The exterior is two storeys high and has a three-window front. It features deep eaves with an eaves band. The main front facing the road includes three windows, with the ground floor having six-over-nine pane sash windows, and the first floor featuring twelve-pane sashes that open onto individual cast-iron balconies adorned with vase balusters. The right side of the building has a shallow projecting stack (with the shaft dismantled) and a gabled porch. The interior has not been inspected but may still hold features of interest.
