Description

Park Crescent is a terrace of four houses dating from the 1840s, located on Cambridge Road in Torquay. The terrace forms a concave crescent with front gardens. The houses are built in a picturesque Tudor style. The symmetrical, thirteen-window front has deep eaves with cusped bargeboards and nine gables. The windows have chamfered frames, and the ground-floor porches, in bays four and eight, have Tudor-arched lights and hipped roofs. A central Tudor-arched doorway has been blocked and converted into a window, flanked by windows and three first-floor windows with hoodmoulds. Some windows retain tall iron casements, some with lozenge panes, while others have been replaced. The left return is three storeys tall, with a central gable, and is built in a similar style with 12- and 16-pane sashes. The interior has not been inspected, but may contain features of interest.
