Description

This is an early 19th-century house located on the south side of Teign Street in Teignmouth. The exterior is painted render with painted freestone detailing to the parapet, cornice, and chamfered rusticated pilasters, topped by a slate roof with rendered stacks to the gable ends. It is a double-depth plan building.

The house presents a symmetrical 3-window facade over three storeys. Windows are sash type; the second floor has 3/6-pane sashes, while the first and ground floors have 6/6-pane sashes. Flanking the main house are single-storey units with semicircular arches over 20th-century doors. The door to the right serves as the primary entrance, while the door to the left provides access to the rear and is incorporated into an attached wall. The rear elevation, which formerly had views of the river, mirrors the front with 3/6-pane sashes to the second floor and 6/9-pane sashes to the remaining floors. The first-floor centre and right-hand windows have wrought-iron balconettes. The interior remains uninspected.

To the left of the house is a wall, approximately 2 metres in length, which incorporates an arch and a door providing rear access.
