The Blue Anchor Public House

The Blue Anchor Public House is a mid-19th century public house located on Teign Street in Teignmouth. The building features painted roughcast walls and a slate roof, which includes a large rendered lateral stack at the rear left and gable ends. It has a double-depth plan with a single-storey rear extension.

The exterior is two storeys high and presents a symmetrical three-window range. The first floor has 6/6-pane sash windows, with the outer windows featuring margin panes. A moulded cornice and fascia run along the facade. The entrance consists of set-back half-glazed double doors with panelled reveals, flanked by large three-light windows with transoms. On the left side, there is a 20th-century door within a doorcase that has simple pilasters and an entablature, alongside 6/6-pane sash windows and a semicircular-arched 20th-century casement window at the apex of the gable.

The interior has been noted as altered.
