Description

The building is a ballroom located 25 yards to the west of Newtons, dating from the 17th century. It was originally two cottages constructed from rubble and covered with double Roman tiles. The south elevation features two plank doors with ovolo moulded fronts, one situated beneath a depressed arch stone lintel. The north side has later added plank doors. Inside, the eastern section retains two storeys, which include an inglenook fireplace, a winder stair, and a chamfered beam. The roof over the open dance floor is from the 19th century.
