Description
Rhodyate Lodge is a detached villa built in the early 19th century. It features colourwashed render and slate roofs. The south front has two storeys and three windows. The windows are 12-pane sashes, with those on the ground floor set in semi-circular-headed recesses. The upper windows are fitted with external louvred shutters. There is a central canted porch that includes arched niches and circular windows with glazing bars. The entrance has a six-panel door topped by a semi-circular spoked fanlight. The building has a deeply projecting eaves cornice and a hipped roof with two rendered stacks. To the left, there is a two-storey service wing that has one three-light casement on the ground floor and a 12-pane sash window above.
