Description
Butts Orchard is a detached villa built in the early 19th century. It features colourwashed render and slate roofs. The central block is two stories high and has three windows on the south-facing side, flanked by two wings: the left wing is two stories with three windows, while the right wing is one story with three windows. The central block has 16-pane sash windows, with stepped voussoirs on the ground floor and keyed architraves on the upper floor. The wings have round-arched heads with Gothick 'Y' tracery sashes on the ground floor and 8-pane sashes above. There is a late 19th-century part-glazed porch located in the left-hand angle between the ranges. The left wing has two French windows, and the right wing has one. The main block has a hipped roof with one two-light dormer and three stone stacks. Inside, there is a staircase featuring a wreathed mahogany handrail, square balusters, and carved tread ends.
