Description
Millard's Shoe Shop is a former pair of cottages that has been converted into a shoe shop. It dates back to the mid-17th century and features a rendered exterior with a pantile roof. The building is two stories tall and has a three-window front facing north. On the ground floor, there are three 19th-century doors: two are four-panel doors with two glazed lights on top, and one is the shop entrance door with a glazed top panel. There is also a small shop window that has a reeded surround and lozenge decoration. To the right, there is a 12-pane sash window. The upper windows display decayed three-light oak ovolo-moulded mullions. At each end of the building, there are brick stacks. Inside, you can find several chamfered beams, a newel staircase in the left-hand room on the ground floor, and the original through-purlin roof structure.
