Description
West Park House Cottages and Waterford Cottage is a row of cottages and a former shop, dating from the early 19th century. The exterior features rendered walls, with slate hanging on the first floor above the shopfront, and rag slate roofs that include a short roof with a hipped front and swept valleys on the wing with the shop. The building has brick axial stacks and a single-depth plan.
The structure is two storeys high and has a window arrangement of 2:3:1. The main range on the right has cross windows with casements and horizontal glazing bars, along with planked doors. The shop wing features 2-light casements on the first floor and a leaded window over another leaded window on the right-hand return. The old shopfront is visible as framing in the wall, with slender incised pilasters. A 3-light window has been inserted into most of the space that was formerly occupied by the lights on the left. There is a doorway under the left-hand window, which has an 8-pane overlight and a flush-panelled door.
The interior has not been inspected but may still have original features of interest.
