Description
Rivera House is an 18th-century house located on The Parade in Hugh Town. It is built from coursed and squared granite and features a gabled slate roof, with a scantled slate roof on the rear wing and rendered end stacks. The house has an L-shaped plan with a rear left wing and a three-unit layout that includes a central staircase. It stands two stories tall and has a symmetrical three-window range. A 20th-century gabled porch is present at the front. The windows have flat arches with voussoirs and consist of late 19th-century and 20th-century 8/8-pane sashes. There are hipped dormers that contain similar horned 6/6-pane sashes. Additionally, there is an early 19th-century three-storey rear wing with 6/6-pane sashes. The interior has not been inspected.
