Description
No. 154 Church Street is a small cottage, part of a mismatched pair, with a date stone over the porch indicating it was built in 1818. The exterior features coursed and squared stone, a brick chimney stack, and a slate roof. This two-storey house is attached to the east gable of No. 152. It has one three-light 19th-century casement window above two similar windows, all with wooden lintels and stop-chamfered soffits. The central entrance is a flush-panelled door located in a glazed gabled porch. The cottage has a slender but tall gable chimney stack, and beyond the end gable, there is a lower gabled wing with a slate roof. At the rear, there is a four-pane sash window set in a flush half-dormer, and the roof slope is covered with asbestos-cement slate. The interior has not been inspected.
