Description
No. 32 Church Street is a small cottage located in a row of buildings in Weymouth, dating from the late 18th century or early 19th century. The exterior features rendered and scribed walls with a rubble rear wall, and the roof is covered with slate or asbestos-cement slate. This two-storey cottage is set slightly forward from the adjacent property on the right and may have a roof structure that was rebuilt in the early or mid-19th century.
The front has one window, which consists of a small two-light casement above a small three-light, small-paned early casement. To the left, there is a 20th-century glazed door sheltered by a pent hood. A brick chimney stack is located on the right gable. At the rear, there is a full-width parallel range made of rubble, which is continuous with the range of No. 30, and it features replacement windows. Inside, the cottage has very low ceiling heights, suggesting it may be slightly older than the neighboring properties.
