Description
Sally Rose is a small cottage located at the end of a row in Upwey, Weymouth, dating from the early 19th century. The building is constructed of rubble and features an asbestos-cement slate roof. It is set back from the street and is attached on the right side by a lean-to extension to the former Methodist Chapel. The cottage has a full-width parallel range at the rear and is two storeys high with two windows. The first floor has two-light casements set in haunched brick segmental arches, while the ground floor features a two-light window and a small 20th-century square oriel window, along with a central six-panel door, all sheltered by a pent porch roof supported by a central wooden post. To the right, there is a small lean-to wing and a rebuilt stone external stack on the right gable. The rear of the cottage has new casements and a lean-to porch. The interior has not been inspected.
