Description

Harris’s Cottage is a detached cottage dating from the mid-19th century, situated at right angles to the road in Langton Matravers, Acton. The cottage has rubble stone walls, a stone slate roof, and stone end stacks. It is a two-story building. A ledged door provides access to the front. The ground floor features two casement windows with glazing bars, set beneath stone lintels. The first floor has three similar windows. A single-storey, flat-roofed rear extension, constructed of stone and featuring a parapet, extends from the rear. A dry stone boundary wall runs along the north side of the property. The cottage has remained largely unaltered, standing in contrast to other properties in the vicinity that have been modified.
