Description
This is a terrace of three cottages located in Langton Matravers. Number 2 is likely from the 17th century, while Numbers 1 and 3 date from the late 18th to early 19th century. The cottages are built with rubble stone walls and feature stone slate roofs with stone stacks along the ridge.
Number 1 is two storeys high and has a porch with a corrugated asbestos roof and a ledged door. On the ground floor, there is one sash window with a central glazing bar and a blocked doorway at the left end. The first floor has one sash window with a central glazing bar and one casement window with glazing bars.
Number 2 is a single storey with an attic and has a single-storey lean-to extension at the front. It features a part-glazed door, one casement window, and one 20th-century window on the ground floor. The attic includes a pent-roofed dormer with casements.
Number 3 has a porch with a ledged door and one casement window. The ground floor of the main section has one casement window with horizontal glazing bars, and the attic features a pent-roofed dormer with casements. This group of cottages is considered attractive.
