No. 1 Acton is a detached cottage that may include a former outbuilding or workshop. It dates from the late 18th century to the early 19th century and features rubble stone walls and a stone slate roof, with one stone stack at each end and one in the center. The cottage is two storeys tall. The ground floor has a ledged door and one casement window with glazing bars, while the first floor has two similar windows.
