Description

No. 65, including the attached outbuilding on the south, is a cottage that is likely from the late 18th century and is attached to the Castle Inn. The building features rubble stone walls and a stone slate roof, with a stone stack at the right end of the main house and a brick stack at the left, adjoining the Castle Inn. It is two storeys high and has a gabled porch with a segmental arched opening and a ledged door. Both the ground and first floors have two casements with a central horizontal bar. The attached outbuilding at the right end is at a lower level and includes a ledged door with a fanlight and a small casement with glazing bars. Inside the house, there are some chamfered ceiling beams.
